Rio Waida Claims Back-To-Back Victories

Balinese dynamic surfer, Rio Waida, has won the Ballito Pro presented by O'Neill in three-to-four foot surf at Bathers Beach in South Africa.

The third stop on the 2022 World Surf League (WSL) Challenger Series, the Ballito Pro presented by O’Neill has been navigating a challenging forecast but nonetheless provided epic action from some of the world’s best surfers battling to qualify for the elite Championship Tour.

“It’s crazy to think I just won back-to-back CS events, I’m just speechless. Ballito is a very beautiful place and people are super nice. Today is crazy with everyone out, it’s actually hard to get to the beach. I’m really grateful for the support of everyone and I hope I get to come back and do this again.”
